Making prints allows an artist to create more than one original work of art.
There is a matrix or plate onto which an image is carved, etched, drawn or exposed.
The matrix is inked with a roller, brayer, or card.
Pressure is then applied to the matrix against a piece of paper which transfers the ink and the image to the paper.
There are four (4) categories of printmaking: RELIEF, INTAGLIO, LITHOGRAPHY and SERIGRAPHY
